Bir Miftuh International Music Festival – Saturday, 8th June at 7.30 p.m.

The last concert is titled ‘Promenade à Trois Voix’, and brings us an unusual and different series of music .

It features Simona Marini – Flute and Percussion, Frédéric Martin – Violin and Lira da braccio, Florian Villain – Guitar and Percussion.  These three musicians, who are also singers, will perform a very original programme including ancient traditional folk music by French and Italian composers of the 16th and 17th centuries with the use of ancient instruments like the viola da gamba and the magical lira da braccio interpreting such traditional dances as the pavane, the branle, the tammurriata and pizzica.
This concert is being made possible thanks to the generous support of the Embassy of France and the Alliance Française de Malte – Méditerranée,  jointly with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy.
