Invitation – Tour 5  Heritage Trail of Zebbug

Din l-Art Helwa is organising Tour 5 to Heritage sites and properties under its management. This tour will take us on a heritage trail of Zebbug, walking through the Main street with its 16^th century buildings, visiting St Rocco chapel, De Rohan Gate, the old hospital and St Philip Parish church.  The walking trail will go the narrow streets of the village core, leading to the picturesque valley.

Ian Camilleri a volunteer with DLH, will coordinate this tour in collaboration with our volunteer Michael Bonnici, who is  enthusiastic about his native village.

The tour is set for the Saturday 9^th December 2017 and the details are as follows:

• A donation of euro10 paid in advance to secure booking. All proceeds go towards restoration and conservation projects.
• Bookings will be on a first come first served basis (maximum 25 participants).
• Ian will meet all participants at 830am, at the Msida Bastions Historic Gardens Floriana, where parking is readily available on a Saturday morning.
• Transport will be provided to Zebbug and the mini-van will stay with the group for the duration of the tour.
• The participants will meet Michael in front of the Parish Church (Zuntier) at 9am for the start of the tour.
• Participants who prefer to meet at Zebbug should inform the office through the booking form.
• Tour will end by about 12.30pm with the minivan returning participants back to MB Historic Gardens in Floriana.

Please be informed that this tour involves some walking with frequent stops to learn some interesting historical facts about the various sites.  It is recommended that participants wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water.

To book and secure a reservation, please forward the donation of euro10 with your booking form to DLH at 133 Melita Street Valletta.  Bookings close on Wednesday 6^th December 2017.
