Din l-Art Ħelwa is organizing the first tour for 2017 to Heritage sites and properties under its management for the dual purpose of:

  • Offering sponsors, members, friends and supporters of DLĦ a unique opportunity to experience the built heritage and the environmental sites which are under the custodianship of DLĦ.
  • Raise funds from donations collected from the participants

Ian Camilleri a volunteer with DLĦ, is coordinating the opening and closing of sites with the warden who will also give a brief account of the main features of the site/s.

This tour is set for the Saturday 18th February 2017.  In this event the participants will visit the Għallis Tower at Baħar ic-Cagħaq and the Wignacourt Tower at St Paul’s Bay. They will enjoy the splendid sea views of St Paul’s islands and the East coastline.  Martin Vella will guide us throughout the tour.

Please note details as follows:

  • A donation of euro10 paid in advance to secure booking.
  • Bookings will be on a first come first served basis.
  • Tour starts at 9am. All participants to meet at the Msida Bastions Historic Gardens where parking is readily available on a Saturday morning.
  • Transport will be provided to the sites and the mini-van will stay with the group for the duration of the tour.
  • Tour will end by about 12.30pm with the minivan returning participants back to MB Historic Gardens.

It is suggested that participants bring a bottle of water with them.
