Birdwatching for Beginners

Talk & Walk

Only 3 places left for the Saturday session and 1 place for the Sunday session. Book now if you are interested to attend this interesting event.

For anyone who would like to start doing a spot of birdwatching, winter is an excellent time.

Richard Cachia Zammit, Il-Majjistral Park guide and event organiser, will be doing a presentation about how to identify 10 of the most common species of wintering birds to be found in our islands.

This will be followed by a walk in the park to try and spot some of them. This knowledge will add to ramblers, hikers and even those who just love to walk leisurely in our countryside at this time of the year, something extra to enjoy apart from the countryside itself.

The event will be held first on Saturday 16th December 2017 and repeated the day after i.e. Sunday 17th December 2017.

The larger the group, the less chance of seeing birds at close range so for each session, the number of participants will be limited to 10. Children have to be 12 and over.

Place: Il-Majjistral Visitor Centre
Time: 09:30 – 12:30
Fee: Adult 5 euro / Child 3 euro.

For booking send an email to walks@majjistral.org stating for which day you are booking.
